It's pretty simple. Same way you add attachments to emails. Browse for the file on your computer, add a comment if you like, and click "Add Attachment."
If a file type is not supported, send me an email, and I'll try to sort it out.
For music files, I'd rather you upload MP3's or other compressed filetypes to save on diskspace.
Here's a link to a free program which can convert CD music files (.cda) to .mp3 and can also convert .wav files. There are tons of other free programs out there too so you don't have to use this one.
