It's funny how everyone is so happy to get a "free," but it's really nother more than the chance to do menial tasks such as:

-Licking envelopes
-Stamping postcards
-Stuffing tissues

Is teaching Eikaiwa English really that bad that you'd rather be stuffing tissues?

Dual voice! or it would be good if the work place had the Internet so that we could be "researching into how to better facilitate our students English needs".

Yeah, I forgot about "dual voice!" You saved my ass several times with that one.

I can't believe that its 2006 in Tokyo and our work place doesn't have accessible Internet. That could fill in some time, just printing out random bullshit for the voice room or just posting on here!

I guess it aint in the budget...

In my free`s i like to do the following

1- pick my nose or have a shit

2- stand around somewhere

3- try and get a sneak peek at faxes and the teachers comment book so that i can see what people are saying about us

4- have a second shit

5- try and change the schedule so that Nate gets fucked up

6- don`t have a shit but certainly have a third wipe `just to be on the safe side`

7- eat

8- chat to our below average looking staff in the hope of a blowie!!!

9- sit down

10- if its early i have a sleep in voice room

11- do an actual allocated NOVA task

Ha ha ha Laughing That's so true! Sounds about the same as what I used to do during my free lessons at NOVA. I heard they have been really cutting back on money lately. My friend who still works there said its gotten real bad, but I can't believe it could be worse than before.

I go to the Atre building and decimate their washroom.

Or snap one off.

Either or.

Hey Tousian! Which school did u work in? Sounds pretty mellow. Actually, the last 3 months at my school, I think I could've counted all the free's on one hand.

They also started a new rule where if you have a Man 2 Man lesson, and the student doesn't come, you have to sit in the room twiddling your thumbs for 40 min. The reason is, if the student happens to show up 30 min late, they don't want him/her to have to wait the extra 30 seconds it takes for you to pick up the book and walk into the classroom.
