It's no seceret that the Nova text boooks do not contayn the ultymate lerning matirial known to man. The time has cum to move beyond the pedagogic gold prodused by giving a few bananas and a pen to a chimpanzee and utiliyze the vast resorses of the intanet to bring kwality matirial to ower students.

In the spirit of moving beyond the ML, I'd like to sujest the following matirial for use in the lessons that deal with regret and worst vaykayshions ever:

If only we could use books like that at NOVA. Imagine how much more interesting our lessons could be with titles like these:

B07 "Jenny gets an Abortion"
C33 "Coping with Crackheads"
E42 "Dealing with Drive-bys"
G25 "Germ Warfare and the Legacy of Unit 731"

But noooo, we're stuck with Wonder Bread English:

"Talking about Books"
(You hate reading books? Ok, imagine you don't. You just finished reading "Harry Potter" and it was great. How was it?)

"Deciding how to get there" (You'd rather fly to Australia? Good choice. Ok, now imagine it's the year 1820 and there are no planes. Now how should we get there?)

"Breakfast Diet"
(What did you have for breakfast this morning? Donuts? Good...Ok, how about yesterday? Oh no, you can't remember? Let me remind you. You had pancakes. So tell me, what did you have for breakfast again?)

Holy shit! That book was nuts. Teaching it would be a nightmare.

"OK, so Rumi died from radiation poisoning caused by an atom bomb and so did all of her family and probably her dog... Any questions".

I'd all so like to see:

G08: Dealing with Fucktards
F21: Dealing with fucking boring people

I can't believe that Hiroshima story. That's like making Japanese teachers teach Chinese kids from a book with stories about the Rape of Nanking. Pretty bad taste.

NOVA textbooks are a farse. But consider yourselves lucky that you don't have to use the old ones. Could anything be worse than Diplomat? Believe it or not, YES!

great suggestions donkey punch! I'm gonna implement them starting tomorrow. However, x pat, of course there are things worse than diplomat, and they include, cutting off your balls, commiting seppuku, voice, and working at nova in general. Also, try and get a Japanese person in general to realize what ever happened in Nanking. ask any of them, 95% of the time they don't know what you are talking about. Take a look at a japanese history book, somewhat shocking....

lessons I would like to see introduced:

C17: gettin' the ladies
D14: blamin' gas on other people
E22: why you suck
F45: describing std's
G44: levels of unparticipation

Yeah, there's a new book that came out here last year by an author who claims Nanking was nothing but Chinese propaganda. It's a bit like the crackpots claiming the Holocaust never happened, the only difference being, people actually take the guy seriously here.
